Contributions to a semiotics of religion: the semiosis from sign to meaning

This article approaches theoretically the religious experience in toto. Considering semiotics applied to religion, contributions understand and recognize relevance of this discipline are proposed. Such approach religion justifies aim article: meaning structures experiences. These experiences diverse, intimate, subjective, but all have an idea “transcendent” as a referent they based on meaning, expressions, representations sacred, forms, uses interpretations signs, systems collective thought symbolic action.
